Gibson County Habitat for Humanity

BUILDing hope… One home at a time

Gibson County Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical, Christian housing organization that works to build quality and affordable homes for selected families residing in Gibson County.

Volunteer

Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and resources to build Habitat houses and help us make the dream of home ownership become a reality for many families.

Gibson County Habitat prides itself in being a good steward of its resources and funds, and continuously strives to become efficient and effective in all of our work. We understand that without the generous support of area businesses, churches, organizations and individuals, our ministry could not exist and we work hard to be as efficient as possible.

One of the many benefits of becoming a partner family with Gibson County Habitat home is that our partner families experience the joy and pride of home ownership.

They have the opportunity to invest many hours of their time to the completion of the building project and move into their home knowing they have helped build their dream in a significant way.
Are you paying too much rent and can’t afford other things? Do you want to raise your family in a stable and secure environment? Have you ever dreamed of owning your own home but didn’t think you could afford it? If the answer to any of these questions is “YES” then we need to talk! Our Family Selection Committee is accepting applications for our next building project and we look at three basic criteria:

1. Existing Living Conditions

Is the family in need of better living conditions, or is the family rent burdened or live in a dangerous neighborhood?

2. Financial Stability

Does the family have the financial means to make the mortgage payments on our interest-free loan?

3. Partner Family

Will the family partner with us and contribute time and energy to work on the home?

Gibson County Habitat for Humanity is currently seeking Partner Families and you may qualify. The process is fairly simple. Just fill out an application to see if you and your family can be considered for our next building project.
We will do the rest.
